I took down the wallpaper in my bedroom just to stop the drone.
I couldn't stand the monotony any longer.
So, I painted a mural.
My mom came over for supper a few nights later and asked why I had chosen to paint stars.
I told her it was for simple reasons like guidance and perspective.
Supper sped by and I was alone again.
I stared at the walls of my bedroom and everything came to life.
Every freckle on your skin, I had mapped out on those walls.
I didn't hesitate about which went where, how far this one was from the next;
I knew where each belonged.
It was an exact blueprint of you in paint.
A map of the world—my world—on my walls.
For simple reasons like guidance and perspective.
how are you so talented lady?
